207 Introduction to Statistics and Computing (4)
Introduces the theoretical bases of descriptive and inferential statistics. Measures of central tendency, dispersion, and association; the normal t, chi-square and F-distributions; point and interval estimation; and hypothesis testing. LEC/REC

400 Educational Psychology (3)
Studies psychological principles and research relevant to educational practice; human growth and development; the learning process; educational measurement; individual differences; mental health in the school. LEC/REC

401 Introduction to Counseling (3)
Presents overview of the counseling professions. History and origins; theoretical approaches to counseling and psychotherapy; techniques; group counseling; marriage and family counseling; grief counseling; and vocational counseling. LEC

404 Introduction to the Rehabilitation of Substance Abuse and Addiction (3)
Introduces the field of rehabilitation counseling and its application to substance abuse and addiction. Examines the social, psychological, and biological bases of addiction; exploration of assessment, diagnosis and treatment issues; understanding of the functional limitations of substance addiction, especially as they relate to work and independent living. LEC

453 Introduction to Rehabilitation (3)
Basic history, concepts, and practices in the rehabilitation of persons with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities. Emphasis on modern vocational rehabilitation, with a consideration of rehabilitation careers. LEC
